A day at the National Arts Council
A day at the National Arts Council can either be on crises management mode or cruise control mode, depending on how readily available your information might be at that point when needed. The day is filled with new learning curves constantly demanding a person to stretch themselves further and further and bring out their inner strengths to assist them in achieving their tasks.
Pros: I've been exposed to a lot of senarios that relate to the HR field in a short space of time
Cons: The company doesn't have proper structure

I have been exposed to a lot of HR Core functions at the NAC
Working at the NAC has had its fair share of challenges, but these challenges have made me understand the HR Field better. I have been exposed to the Recruitment process, Training and Development of staff, Performance Management, Compliance with the EE Reports, SETA reports and WSP, Disciplinary Procedures, Grievance Procedure, I have reviewed and updated HR Policies. I have also initiated Staff Wellness Programmes.
Pros: Excellent exposure to different aspects of the HR Field
Cons: The organisation didnt have proper structure or clear direction
