Msc Business College Reviews

Excellent Learning Curve

Working at MSC Business College has been quite an experience, I learned a lot like customer service, handle pressure, administration etc. My daily routine was mostly to teach/ facilitate students on MS Office package from there I moved to training technical support (A+, N+) then it was System Development and Programming whereby I self thought to write codes for programmes. I was promoted HOD IT Facilitation where I also worked with co-operate clients, marketing, mentorship, and Network Administration for the campus. Throughout the years I was keen to learn as much as I can since I managed to get a qualification in train the trainer ( Assessor Certificate). As I was looking back and comparing the experience and knowledge, skills I have I felt that its time to grow and face new challenges in life.

Pros: Great Customer Service, Technical, Sales and Marketing
Cons: Lomg hours and there's no growth

No Financial development but Educational development

No Financial development but Educational development On a typical work day, it is a strainous task but we have to endure as it is not only about training others but we also up-skill ourselves as Facilitators in terms of content. The relationship among co-workers is very good because it is a united front that always promotes constructive behaviour which in turn assist us to learn as a team and individually. Lessons learned are to always go the extra mile to ensure quality is achieved and expectations are exceeded. What i enjoy the most is the fact that I learn every day about peoples views and life in general. The most challenging aspects of my job is not being able to rest enough because on our field we must always be on our feet toes, doing research and ensuring that quality education is delivered to our students.

Pros: Learning environment equip us with necessary skills and knowledge
Cons: Poor salary scale

Excellent learning curve

Teaching is not a easy job, being at the campus for 8 hour with 6 being spend in classes and labs requires a collection of abilities and concentration. Teamwork helps mostly when a person is absent or currently busy with matters of high priority. what I have learnt is to respect people you work with and clients, that will keep them coming for your services, and do what you do at the level of your abilities. what I enjoy the most is help staff and student with technical related matters of the IT infrastructure. and the most challenging thing is that sometimes it can be real stressful when chasing a deadline with the systems at times become offline, receiving calls having to attend other co-workers problems with your waiting for you, and the employers not taking that to consideration when you miss the deadline

Pros: Not really chances of promotion but exposure to the top level management duties with no recoorrgnition
Cons: the hours are normal

Great opportunity

Working at the company has taught me a lot about myself in terms of how i handle the pressure of the job and i feel grateful that i was given an opportunity to work with experienced people who modeled how to be a team player. On a day to day basis i had to deal with clients that walked in and had to sell the product ( educational courses) that the college offered, i had to deal with different cultures and different personalities and that taught me how to be accepting and patient with people. The best part of my job was interacting with the students and getting to know them on a personal level, that relationship was very imperative because when they were having problems they would come to me for advice. The most challenging aspects of it were the amounts of work given at a short amount of time. However i am someone who overcomes challenges so i made sure i did my best to do that.

Pros: Getting the opportunity to work in other departments.
Cons: Long hours but the salary not reflecting it.

Excellent customer service

It is really great to work at MSC College. I have grown as a person. The most interesting part is meeting a variety of clients helping them choose the career path of their choice. This company has taught me how to work/cope underpreassure, how to work individually and to still excell in team work. How to think on the spot to come up with solutions to problems. It has taught me the importance of customer service and grate communication skills and how to address people at all levels. Im still learning on a day to day basis. Enjoy learning new techniques that will allow me to do my best in the workplace. I have learned how to deal with difficult client and how to stay calm at all times, most of all it has taught me humility and respect to my co-workers and clients, to treat all clients equally and not to judge but rather understand them.

Pros: Helping others achieve their goals
Cons: No more opportunity for growth
