Opened and manage business since inception in 2009 to date

Highly challenging and demanding work for the newcomers in the industry of hospitality but very interesting. Started working alone as ideas not getting patrons on daily basis. After the first six months having marketed the business on few websites I hired two people and now the business have grown too my satisfaction and I decided to hand over the battaon to my daughter who completed her diploma in 2011 to run the business as she doesn't get any work opportunity. At present we have employed 4 people who do cooking and housekeeping and my daughther do the daily core function s of the business i.e. reception, spot checking the cleanliness and daily banking. Most important aspect of the business is to interact with clients and make sure that they are satisfied

Pros: Increase of rooms from 4 to 8 more works and more money
Cons: Independently working long hours without supervision

Word of mouth from happy client increases customer base more than any other marketing tool.

Currently running my guesthouse from reception to kitchen to housekeeping and people management. Marketing of the business on daily basis, placing the company on the database of the various government departments and private companies. My relationship with my colleagues very cordial and making sure that everybody enjoys being part of the team as they spend more hours at work than at home. I enjoy making a difference in people's lives and enjoy the challenge that goes with every work situation. Always envisage to keep every customer happy as the marketing of a happy client flies like a veld fire.

Pros: The company have grown to an extent that it can sustain itself with the staff working there.
Cons: No leave or weekend of if you run your own establishment
