Excellent learning curves, exposed planning, buying and all marketing aspects of retail

A typical work day involves a lot of tasks: Mostly relating to negotiations, budget analysis, product sourcing, marketing, visual management, trend analysis, forecasting I have a great relationship with me team members and co-workers. I have learned so much, because we are required to be more than just buyers. What i enjoy most about my job, i fast pace at which we need to execute buys, how quickly the trends change and how important is it that we keep up with trends. The most challenging part of my job would be the fast paced industry, the constant changes that take place and the deadlines that need to be met. Also, keeping a finger on the pulse in every single aspect of the categories that you are responsible for as a buyer.

Pros: Being exposed to Retail as a whole, not just Buying
Cons: Not a lot of opportunities for growth and promotions

Great learning enviornment.

You wear many hats in the company. Team collaboration and open communication are key to team success! I have learnt that listening to a difference of opinion can lead to innovation and oppertunity. The most rewarding part is seeing the growth of a new category or local brand. Challenging parts include vertical procurement in most strategies.

Great learning curve,growing company

Moresport provided me with a great learning curve. They are a growing company that offers amazing ranges to the sport and outdoor enthusiast. The teams that they employ are hardworking and passionate about their products and the services that they provide. However the career growth opportunities are limited as well as opportunities for financial growth.

Cons: No great opportunities for promotions, no great opportunities for salary growth

Excellent company to work for

There is a lot to learn in company, but once you know the workings it becomes a bit repetitive. When I started it was challenging as I had to turn the warehouse around. There are not much in growth in the division that I currently working.

Pros: Great job security
Cons: Not much oppurtunity for growth
