Earger to learn and develop

I start working 6:30 in the morning and work till 4:30. I am hardworking and eager to learn. Our underwriting team consist of 8 people and me being the senior I assist were I can. I also do the audits of the rest of the team and assist with re training where needed. I learn every day with new conditions we come across in applications. I enjoy learning every day and each day is an challenge. The pace and pressure that we work under each day. To keep within our SAL agreement(turnaround time) and getting quality work done and keeping the brokers and clients happy.

Pros: Great learning experience daily.
Cons: Want to grow and do Life Underwriting

Excellent learning curve

Big and reputable company to work, great opportunities for those in call centers. They can easily maneuver around the company as they have more knowledge about the company products. Less opportunities in the department I am in. I'm grateful that I've learned a new a system (oracle). My colleague s and I get along well and we've instilled team work as one of one values, as you know that two heads are better than one.

Pros: Room for growth and personal development
Cons: No overtime

Growth (career opportunities)

I am a well presented person with excellent communication skills. I can describe myself as a committed person who can be relied on to complete all my tasks. I work well under pressure and able to meet deadlines set for me. I feel a job well done is not only doing what is expected but going an extra mile to exceed expectations. I am able to use my own initiative and able to work independently.

Pros: Growth (career opportunities)
Cons: i am willing to work over weekends and overtime from time to time

A day at work (Momentum)

I have won the Momentum Values award 2016. this is where my fellow co-workers nominate individuals that produce the values of Momentum, (Accountability, Diversity, Excellence, Innovation, Integrity and TeamWork). A typical work day would be delivering awesome service to our clients. I enjoy interacting with people, solving queries, finding solutions. I have learnt that no matter how much you know, you always learn something new everyday. The most challenging aspect of my job is nothing as I deliver to my best ability, be negative feedback or positive. if you enjoy what you do then there is no need to find anything challenging.

Pros: Take accontabilty for your work, never pass the buck, if i dont understand i will ask
Cons: other co-workers passing the buck

Learning curve

I it’s a great company to work for. Great working culture that provides a a work like balancing r. Great team withinFinance. People are willing to assist when you need help. It’s been a great learning curve about to the Medical Scheme industry.

Momentum's culture is very human driven, friendly place to work for

Momentum is a great company and I rate it 9 out 10. Products are client driven and I rate it 8 out of 10. Culture is 9 out of 10, workplace is very stylish and I rate it 7 out of 10

Pros: Big corporations, well known on the insurance industry
Cons: Thier products only target middle class and upper class makert, they can do better buy open windows for other w0eking class

Good learning curve and experience gained the

A great company to work for, great colleagues and a good place to gain experience on medical benefits. Learnt a lot about being patient especially with elderly clients and brokers with little knowledge of products provided. Teamwork is very important in a service position and you always refer back to notes or actions taken by the person prior to you.

Cons: Long working hours and little rest.

Great place to work

Momentum is a great place to work, it's a relaxed environment. Team leaders are very helpful. I had no medical aid background when I joined the company but it I have learned so much. I've learned a lot about medical aid schemes and also about the benefits of having medical aid.
