Not too sure of what to write here although it can be discussed in the interview.
1. A typical day will start off with reading emails, holding a meeting with my Full Time Safety Reps and plan their job for the day should any problems have arise during the evening. 2. My relationship with my co-workers and supervisors is excellent. If I require information, all persons co-operate and I can complete the task before my dead line. 3. What I have learnt in the mining industry is that you cannot follow your planning as every day has each own challenges. You need to learn how to deal with the challenges and make them your own. 4. I enjoy it the most when I introduce a new safety strategy and accidents/incident are reduced as a result of that strategy. To reduce the risk to the persons that work in dangerous areas so that they can go harm free to their respective families.

Work smart, not hard
The chalenges at Modikwa have promted me to stretch myself and increase my inputs. I have earned the respect of my coleaques. I get fulfilled when my ideas are impliment and prove to be successful. I have learned not to workhard but to work smart. Not achieving our production targets consistantly, not optimizing the available technology and achieving zero harm is the most challenging aspect of my job.
Pros: The company is young thus the oppoturnity to grow into a compatitive organisation.
Cons: Lacks transparancy.

Management skills
In the past years i have learnt a lot in managing people and decision making process, problem solving. Identifying of hazards, participating in planned task observations on employees. Doing action coachings and report any unsafe conditions and rectify unsafe acts.

Working in a big company, , with many productive machinery to maintain.
We attend the breakdowns, daily inspections and weekly maintenance on conveyor belts, tips vibrators.Also standbys where we also attend the call outs including pumps, , rockbreakers, , chairlifts ventilation fans and clarification plant.
Pros: promotion opportunity it's not promising due to low skills in my category.
Cons: we are working long hours when belt snap

Long working hours in a very unstable political area.
Typical day consists of very long hours-very stressful environment. Relationship with co-workers is satisfying. Learnt to cut costs and work more efficient with available resources. Overcoming challenges on a daily basis and meeting production targets. How to further minimise costs and sustain profitability.
Pros: Excellent ore body with long life of mine.
Cons: Long working hours away from family.

It a creat opportunity to learn something different to increase a good understanding.
Am buying material for the mine by checking with the supplier , compare prices and good quality. We have good communication and problem solving. Am learning very well and on daily basis the system come up with changes for innovation. I enjoy challenges and changes. dealing with local suppliers who doesn't want to follow the process.

Excellent learning environment to grow
Modikwa Mine is a pleasure to work for. A company of choice indeed. Modikwa Mine is one of a few Mines in South Africa that has the intetest of their employees at heart. they look after you at work and out of the work premises. they have support systems in place for people who are going through hard times adnd they will support you all the way.
