Steeping stone

Working for Mkhondo Local municipality was great at the beginning because i was being exposed to my doing the work practically, helping users with the problems they are facing on a daily bases. helping them with network connection, printers and installing software that they need to use. the only problem is that the people from the municipality do not give us enough things to do, we have been doing the same things everyday for the past two years, and there isn't much training opportunities for interns. challenge for me was starting my career in a municipality and having to be careful all the time, because most municipalities have a lot of corruption going.

Excellent learning curve

I report for work 07:30 in the morning.On a normal day,we have the public coming for consultations/queries concerning sites,change of ownership.Also,we would received and handle a summons /any legal disputes the public/any organization might have with the Municipality. I also draft Service legal agreements with service providers. Call and schedule meetings with clients.I get along with my colleagues very well.They've welcomed me with open arms. I've learned to interact with the public,and how the Municipaluty runs as a whole.The challenges I've experienced,is the language barrier.I stay and work in a very small town.Zulu is dominant language that is spoken,and English is not a language they are fond of.

Pros: Great learning curve
Cons: Too political.

Problem solving,Multitasking, Communication, Attention to detail

working for this company thought me a lot on how to manage my time, how to work with other people and how to communicate with clients. most of the time i enjoy work when we busy course time fly's and i gain lot of experience rather than sitting and doing nothing. the most challenging on my aspect on my job is working with end-user people. i woke very well with my co-workers cos they are the one who assist me when im stack with my work.

Pros: ill like to be permanent one of the good days that's why i work hard
Cons: i sometime do work long hours when necessary

Computer skills

I learn alot and again expirience under OHS Officer serve as intern Circulation memos for induction Compile weekly report to superior. Conduct workshop for Safety Office. Assist on distrubution pack for induction. Daily inspection for plant and the Office
