Whilst still adhering to purchasing in line with the companies BBBEE modules, but still ensuring continuous cost savings and make sure quality standards are met, including source and procuring from technical drawings ensure budgets are not exceeded. I am a conscientious person who works hard and pays attention to detail. I'm flexible, quick to pick up new skills and eager to learn from others. I also have lots of ideas and enthusiasm. I'm keen to work for a company with a great reputation and high profile like Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems (Pty) Ltd

ICS Analyst

A typical work day for me is where I gather information from different departments for testing of assessed risks at the start of the internal controls process. I have a respectable relationship with work colleagues which has been built up over the past 5 years that I am working at the company. I have learnt to be more vigilant and skeptical when it comes to testing of controls in the various departments. I have gained a very good idea of the workings of the company due to being exposed to various departments for testing. I enjoy the relationships that I have built with all m y work colleagues. The most challenging aspect of my job is that I am not 'feared" as much as external auditors, and as I have to have relationships with the co-workers, sometimes my work is not taken seriously.

Cons: No Career growth

Work Life Balance

My day revolves around performing SOX audits i.e. updating of process controls in various departments, e.g. Finance, HR, IT, Procurement. I review key controls identified by performing walk through tests as well as test of effectiveness. I have entity level control testing as well as IT control testing. I have built up good relationships with Heads of Departments and their staff to conduct the testing. I have learnt about the construction industry as well as the general operations on a global level of the business. I enjoy working with management and the International exposure gained while working hand in hand with our German sister company. The most challenging aspects of the job is meeting deadlines set as all the staff do not always see the need or importance of the audit.

Is a technology and project management implementation company, involved in the engineering of energy power plants in South Africa. Successfully evaluate cost process to complete tender cycle by setting up cross-functional team briefings, by facilitating responses to counter parties to complete compliance (Quality, Finance, Engineers and Legal), when negotiating and concluding FIDIC contractual agreements that cover all risk matters alongside Engineers, Project Management and Commercial Management, to successfully compile and submit recommendation/s to Managements.

Pros: Promotion does not accur frequently, as it is a project enviroment.

Great work life balance

As I am in the "Internal Controls" dept., I have a broad overview of the business. I work with all the Heads Of Departments in the company. I am a pleasant individual who gets along with everyone that I am in contact with.
