Metix is a unique Engineering, project management and technological equipment supplier which forms part of SMS Siemag AG within the SMS Group, the largest ferroalloy technology supplier in the World (Germany). The company projects range from Engineering, Procurement and Supply (EPS), Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM), Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC), Service, Supply, and Install Agreements. Day to day activities involved overall procurement management and contracts management. Metix is a small to medium company everybody worked closely with each other ensuring creative development on every subject matter. Working hours is challenging (+/- 60hrs per week) but is worth the effort as all your contributions are acknowledged in front of all your peers. The most challenging and rewarding aspect was dealing with various international cultures as each company has a different philosophy in executing certain works.

Pros: The fact that top management helps each individual grow by letting them participate in all areas of the procurement cycle, technical discussions and involvement, company budgeting, Company forecasting and overall day to day discussions relating to the running of the business.
Cons: Working on a consultant basis

AI typically do overall Contract Management with great support from co-workers. I have learned various aspects in a high level corporate environment working long hours and have a passion to gain knowledge. I enjoy exploring the outdoors.
