Life at Merck

Merck is an innovative company investing in Life Sciences and Bio Technology. My day starts with viewing sales figures on Qkliview and monitoring Sales At Helpdesk so as to track orders going through the system. I then honor appointments , get back to the office and track sales, resolve queries and challenges. I also use this opportunity to get new business. I am a Team Player and while this is good, I do not use this to accept mediocrity. Merck has enabled me to expand my knowledge of the South African and East African Markets. The best aspects of my job is the ability to use my negotiation skills and develope excellent relationships with Key Stakeholders in the Public as well as the Private Sector. The most challenging aspects of my job is dealing with stock outs

Pros: There is opportunity for growth. Merck as company reguarly promotes people from within the company. And when the opportunity for the National Key Account Manger arises I will be in a key position to apply for it.
Cons: Not being based at Head Office is a negative for me.

Procurement and Transformational

9 years of Procurement Experience, Sourcing,Catergory management, Policy writing, implementation of Global process, End to process. BBBEE Transformation, Strategy, tactical implementation Challenges: No Budget for implementation of Transformation. Drive Procurement and transformaton through 3 divisions that worked in SIlo and reported Globally.

Cons: Report to GLobal - no understanding of South African Law

Fantastic International experience

Great international company with value and clear mission.Worked with South Eastern countries and head office being Germany.The legal space is fast and need to be accurate,the team work is phenomenal.
