Great learning curve

-Idont take my day to day to work as a typical work day,i try to make sure that my day is interesting and look forward to going. -My colleagues and i know that work comes first before anything,we work first and play later. my relationship with them is good -I have learnt how to interact with different people from different backronds -knowing that my deadlines are meant makes me very happy -When patients benefits are depleted and i have to explain to them that they have to pay for the consultation cash or if they are owing us or when the dr decides that he / she is not going to be able to come or if they are running late, patients get very irritated.

Pros: Open to opportunities for promotion
Cons: extra hours if necessarily

Great learning curve

i make my job interesting my relationship with my colleagues we all know that the job must be done first,we get along just fine as we work as a team. i have learnt that dealing with different people from different backrounds can be challenging ,in the end it all works out just fine though i enjoy making sure that my patients are seen and attended on time as per appointment. when drs decide not to pitch up when they have patients booked, that is very challenging.

Pros: amazing opportunities for promotions
Cons: overtime

Average

I am cruurently working in a busy company and dealing with impatience patients and is really challenging and thats what I love about medicross but the only thing totally dislike is that "I passed the entry level phase which is the filing clerk for seven years now and I do send CV's like any employee but I was never called in an interview like the rest who applied for certain position. I will then being introduced to the candidate that is new from high school, it happened in many occasions. i have learnt that you must take action in anything you are involved in even if is not your call. what I enjoyed the most is my job because I've managed to change the whole filing to simplifly my work and I tought myself everything from capturing, billing, labs codes, and the minority of people who new my worth in the company even the Dr's complimented my work.

Pros: The prons were strictly direct and forward
Cons: The cons to me was not difficult because i knew what they expect of me.

Gaining HR Experience

I work a 8.5 hour day which starts at 06:30 to 15:30 with hardly any rest in between because of the amount of work that needs to be done. I don't normally plan my day as a lot of work just pops up from no where and that needs attention straight away, so there is a lot of juggling/multi-tasking going around. I have a fairly good relationship with my colleagues and we do work in a team. I have learnt so much in the past year and have a fairly good understanding of what HR is. The thing i enjoy the most is when i have been given a project and have to run with it, i claim it as my own and take ownership for it. I recently sourced staff for a new clinic we opened up and was involved with short listing, arranging interviews and loading the new employees on the system. My most challenging aspect of the job is that we are a decentralised HR department and we don't deal with issues face to face, we have to rely on technology to get us there.

Pros: Growth within the company
Cons: Not enough support

Enjoy working with people, getting to know new people, positive thinker and hard worker

At the company I am currently working at we mostly deal with patients as we are in the medical industry. We see a lot of new faces daily and we need to be friendly, organized and on top of our game as to let them keep on coming back. I usually start at 6 o'clock in the morning as I open the clinic and I need to run reports before the clinic opens at 7. I would then start with the cash-up and daily balancing, then proceed to check the billing and after that deal with repair and maintenance issues and the placing of orders. Then I will focus the rest of the day on credit control. I enjoy working with my colleagues and have a good relationship with each of them. I have learnt to try and stay positive and make the most of each opportunity. The most challenging part is unhappy patient, account queries that we have to resolve in a quick and fast manner and with the patient in a calm way.

Pros: Work sattisfaction
Cons: Not market related salary for the amount of work done

Excellent HealthCare

Medicross clinics all work different and independently , a typical work day for the receptionist staff includes tough clients, payments, Doctors order ect. It can get very busy on a typical day.

Pros: Enhance people skills
