Reporting Role at Mediamark

Developing a new set of rates for the various stations's advertisements. This involves talking to the Market Intelligence unit about how the a rates compare with those of the competition, based on respective audience sizes and demographic profiles. Responding to sales requirements and producing reports, or cooporating with others in the BI team to do so. Designing new analysis to show the various inefficiences in the business operations. Designing new products for Black Friday, in cooperation with various other teams. Eating and drinking with fellow staff members. Often a social even on Friday afternoon at work.

Pros: great opportunity to learn about the media industry
Cons: limited use of good information technology. Limiited acceptance of how information can transform the busienss.

Assertiveness and Learning

My typical day to a week is to deal and advise on Labour Relations issues for none performing employees (ta Implementation of PIP). wee k is Overseeing the work of Payroll and HR Administration to ensure everything is up to date, and also working on Payroll system for reporting (such as EEA, Skills Development). Reviewing policies in line with the amended legislation. Planning with Head of HR for all HR activities for the year. Assisting the Financial Director with commission monthly.

Persistant

MY everyday duties included; organizing induction packs for the new employees, capturing the information on the payroll sheet, organizing training,taking confirmation of employment call.Relationship with the co-workers was extremely excellent. I have learned a lot from the past 7 months. and I enjoy interaction with the new employees and having to organised training for staff.

I am very straong personality,great communication, good listener and pay attention to details

I have been there since April this year, and I have learned so much in this company. I am not limited to learning other categories under HR department. I have an open communication with my manager and my interns, which allows me to be able to raise up issues that are going on within the company and how we can resolve them. I enjoy interacting with staff, especially going around asking the for relevant documents for HR or making the aware of the course that the company offers. Lastly the most challenging thing about HR is finding the suitable candidate for a certain position.
