Medeserve Reviews

My contribution creates the difference.

From the first time I started my journey as a medical receptionist, I understood that my role was key to a seem less service. Doctors save and preserve lives. Our jobs is to to ensure this happens with out any mistakes. When I first arrived at Medeserve I was assigned to GP's and I managed their accounts. Within three months I had been moved to specialist and also was given the responsibility of claims and billing. My day would start of by managing EDI rejections, contacting the scheme and amending the claim to ensure payment. I would move on to check billing, and submitting claims. I would request remittances, and allocate payments which would also allow me to identify patient liabilities. I would contact patients and send emails of statements. I spend a lot of time contacting schemes as they are the major priority for payment.

Pros: Fun and intence environment
Cons: No room for mistakes

Great learning experience

Calling medical aid(s) and patients to collect monies on behalf of Doctors Communicating daily with practices Allocating payments Submission of paper claims and medical reports if needed I have learned mostly mostly how to control my EQ level especially when liaising with patients and my colleagues. I would say the most challenging aspects is having to do a lot of billing to the medical aid(s) for practice that are doing their own from the practice end of the month - they usually send to me to process when they are under pressure so it becomes a bit of a challenge as i have to do the billing on their behalf and also ensure that i don't neglect my daily duties.

Pros: Great opportunity to move within the company career wise
Cons: Overtimes end of the month
