Environmental Management Officer

My current job is a very interesting job because it has thought me communication skills,manegerial skills,public administration,team work,project management. I have enjoyed working with communities,different fepartments and stakeholders. I enjoy my coastal management project,climate change and carbon-capture project which have increased my knowlegde in other fields within environmental management. The job is challenging because I work in very remote areas and most communities are reluctant in accepting change and adopting certain legal frameworks.

Excelent working experience

I am a goal orientated BSc Computer Science graduate with extensive passion for science and technology. I am currently a driven student studying towards honours in BSc Computer Science degree at Walter Sisulu University (WSU). I coped well with the duties I was delegated at the Municipality, I then justified that I can work under pressures and setbacks in the science, technology and engineering environment which are forever changing with high quality demand; this requires flexibility and being able to embrace change. I have excellent communication and leadership skills. I can handle pressure and work well with every one irrespective of gender, race or religion and adhere to principles and values, good at delivering results and meeting deadlines which is the basic quality required by any company. Effectively deal with school and work stress and challenges that come with it.

The best

I like to work Bank reconciliation, and the expenditure part. my relationship with co-workers is good I have leant a lot to them and also enjoy most to go team building. My challenging no promotions here because of political instabilities.

Excellent Learning Curve

No motivation, no growth, council interference, disrespect from other colleagues, bullying from managers I have a learnt a lot regarding Local Government I have grown in my payroll career Interaction with colleagues Deadlines are a bit challenging since no-one wants to adhere with them

Electrical Maintenance

• Perform day to day electrical maintenance (fault finding on LV&MV). • Line construction(LV&MV) • Single and 3 phase panel dressing. • Install and maintain conventional and prepaid meters. • Assisting on the operation of the Bizana Section Breaker.

Pros: Great opportunity to help my community and to learn daily
