Matus (PTY) LTD Reviews

Working career at matus

started at Matus March 2006. experience: started of as a dispatch packer, later moved on to stores as a warehouse assistant (putting away stock). then moved onto picker (picking of customers orders). promoted to dispatch checker (last line of operation). at that time gained more experience on calling counter (dealing with walk in customers and orders). February 2009 promoted to admin as a credit clerk-processing customers returns. a year later promoted as a creditors clerk - full function creditors payments reconciliation of suppliers accounts, cashbook, petty cash, journals, supplier queries etc until December 2014. January 2015 - current position as inventory controller for Matus Durban (FULL STOCK CONTROL, grv, supplier discrepancies, stock adjustments, perpetual stock counts and assisting creditors department). my relation/s with co-workers are above board as we regard each other as family. great team player and always willing to listen and give advice.

Pros: matus is a well-established tool wholesale company, which have given me the oppertunity to gain knowledge and experience
Cons: working ours are strictly 8 hours a day. 5 days a week.

Excellent learning curve

Company is a good one to work for in terms of of relationships between co-workers. If only they can pay workers good salaries and have better benefits as well. The working hours are reasonable. There is a lot of things that are not done right in the company, like health and safety is not practiced and that is totally wrong as the company supplies tools to hardwares.

Pros: Great opportunity
Cons: Personal life and work not balanced
