Excellent marketing exposure.

I enjoy working as a Brand Ambassador as I am able to engage directly with customers and make sales accordingly. My job is to not only promote a product but to also reach a certain number of sales for the day which is challenging at times. However I never seize to deliver the best results due to my communication and sale skills. Through direct sales and marketing I have learnt how different communities think along the lines of purchasing a product as well as what appeals most according to the different environments that I am exposed to. I am able to work well in a team and get along well with others due to the fact that I am an easy going individual that always strives to achieve the best results. Due to this nature, I have been asked to promote products directly from clients as my sales and people skills never falter. I have also been asked assist at the Matriarch offices due to being able to communicate and handle situations professionally.

Pros: Great exposure to direct sales and marketing where I am able to directly analyse different communities and how to market a product according to this knowledge.
Cons: long working hours

My experiences have made me who I am today.

Over the past 3 and half years I have learnt so much at MATRIARCH from drawing up budgets to getting the budget signed off with clients. Working on events from start to finish, getting permits for our events and getting it signed off by the City of Cape Town.

Pros: When I started at MATRIARCH I was the regional co-ordinator for the woolworths educational programmes. After two years I received a promotion to National Coordinator

Learning

The company I work for is a construction company, I get on very well with the co workers, I have leanrt a lot since I have been here for 4 years, what I enjoy is the relationship I have with the co workers and the work I do but I would like to move up in the company .

Pros: the pros of working at the company is that they are understanding and help when needed
Cons: i do alot for the company and i dont see more money coming in

Enjoyed The Experience

Matriarch is a company I worked for over a period of 2months. I was part of a team working on a roadshow campaign. The experience was incredible and the working environment changed throughout. This gave me and opportunity to advance my people and communication skills also allowing to improve my abilities of working under pressure. The day to day challenge we faced was the different audience we had to visit. This was very testing at times but I always kept calmed and made sure I delivered regardless. To work at an office,then the next day school then the next at an event can really tests ones ability to so change character appropriately.

Pros: It's great platform to boost self-esteem and self-confidence
Cons: The weather conditions,since it was an outdoor road show

Excellent learning curve

My skills and qualifications have prepared me for this position. It involved a great deal of independent research, requiring initiative, self-motivation and a wide range of skills. For one course, an understanding of the IT and marketing industry was essential. I found this subject very stimulating. I am a fast and accurate writer, with a keen eye for detail and I should be very grateful for the opportunity to progress to market reporting.
