Fast paced, go getting attitude

10 Hour work day Day is moslty consisting out of fast paced problem solving. We are a dynamic team that works hard. We tend to have a good sense of humour. Each member has his/her strenghts. And we try to place tasks accordingly At Master Drilling I have learned that all good planning needs to be followed up with appropiriate action. And that action can only lead to optimal results if propper planning is done. The two ideas are mutually inclusive for a project to be a success I enjoy the dynamic enviroment, where things actually happen. The most challenging aspect is the steep learning curve. The rate at which projects are done is fast, and there is no time for second guessing. Thus, when stating with MD one tends to feel overwhelmed if one does not yet understand all the operations

Cons: Very fast pace of change, no change control

Good technical experience

Thr experiencThe working environment allows you to learn and gain more experience every day but unfortunately there pay is low, no increase or promotion. Some of the people are racist and look down on some of their staff. Managers have their favorite people which divides the team as other people complain a lot about it but no changese is a great thing but long working hours and low pay, no increase or promotion

Great Learning

-Checking emails -Following up on queries -Sorting of Jobcards -Phone for quotes and order numbers -Getting best prices for vehicle spares -Ordering parts -Checking invoices on delivery -Receiving goods -Sorting out price queries -Following up on goods on back order -Writting and creating requisitions -Getting Signature approvals -Helping with admin work typing spreadsheets on excel -Work on Vehicle history -Work on Vehicle License renewals end of the month -Work on Reports -Filing -Phoning for new spares

Cons: No promotion oppertunities

Everyday challenges

A typical work day at my company starts with a morning caucus where safety and the previous days targets and production is discussed as well as any challenges for the day and what needs to happen and when it needs to happen and gets put into priority order. Then planning for the days transport arrangements and scheduling. My relationship with my co-workers is excellent and they can always come to me for help and advise work related.

Pros: Knowing that the job is permanent and not contract based dont have to worry about work in a year.
Cons: Working outside the country long periods at a time.

Good mining exploration company

Good company. good fellow workers. sometimes team work is present. Good bonus scheme when making target. drilling exploration works for all types of mining companies

Pros: Oppurtunity for promotion
