Exellent leaning.

I have a good personality and am approachable, assertive and eager to learn. I can communicate well at all levels, with colleagues, clients as well as management. My high level of motivation and dedication always give me positive results in my work. I believe that a person is never too old to learn, and therefore I approach every situation with an open mind, with no prejudice. I have ability to remain in volatile situations.

I am in direct contact with the employees and get a better understanding of what is required of me

My day starts off with a prayer and a morning meeting at 7am. There after I do a walkabout in the plant and view the raw materials usage per department, checking for variances and over usages. I am also responsible for all the mobile equipment as well as any item entering or leaving the premises. After receiving any item, I then proceed to receipt the said item on SAP. On my walkabout I speak to employees regarding safety as well as 5"S" ( I am the onsite 5"S" co-ordinator) and make arrangements to rectify the safety and housekeeping concerns. I also go through the list of items that require to be bought for the day or for any planned maintenance and proceed to generate a purchase order. I follow up on outstanding orders and create new orders. on a weekly basis I process the overtime and normal time working hours for the employees to our payroll.

Pros: I am involved in all aspects of the fctory and learn everyday.
Cons: No opportunity to grow.

Good experience

Working at marley allowed me to learn basic admin skills and helped me attain important qualities. I learnt how to communicate in a professional manner and how to work in a team. I also learnt the importance of being hardworking and reliable.

Good learning curve

Very stressful, Very Busy, Long hours, Weekend work. Good relationship with co-workers. Very lean structure. No room for being off. Multi skilling required. Very steep learning curve

Production/Maintenance Supervisor and al aspects of it

I have been working on production lines most of my life. Last 6 years as production/maintenance supervisor. In all companies I set new records of volume and quality produced. I am a quick learner and a very dependable person. My timekeeping and loyalty is of the best. I have very good communication skills. I am a red seal qualified electrician and have extensive mechanical experience. I don’t just fix a problem I fix the cause and if there is room for improvement I improve on it. I have a very wide range of experience from basic mechanical fitting to hmi plc and robotics.

Pros: Good company provident fund. Lots of experienc from fitting up to plc and robotics

Caustic work enviroment

Unfortunately there were plenty of nepatism and back stabbing from colleages and management. Creative thinking and new ideas were not accepted. Senior management did everything to shift blame.
