Excellent learning experience
The company is one big family with its ups and downs like every other . The people there are hard working & that's what sometimes causes the salary wars .It is a company that loves to grow their people instead of spoon feeding them, I am also one of the people who got a chance for growth as I started working for Marley Pipesystems SA in 2011 as a weighor in the compounding department where I was responsible for mixing the chemicals (formula) to manufacture the pipes & as a operator then went to Engineering department in 2014 as an mechanical fitter & turner apprentice till I qualified in 2016
Pros: hard work for less money

Working for Marley unskilled me in many ways.
Sales and marketing Strategy. Communicate with Key customers. Brand Management. New product Development. Create training modules and provide training to consumer and customers. Working with all departments in the company, Sales Managers, Procurement, Supply Chain and finance. Excellent relationship with all co workers and customers Customers always your first priority. I have learn a lot about new product development, how to follow the a correct process to make the product a long term success. Most challenging was to align the Sales and Marketing strategy within a very difficult market, you are the most expensive product in the market but the best quality, the market prefer price before quality.
Pros: Working for a leader company in the market
Cons: Company belongs Aliaxis across board, they are starting to withdraw their investment in SA, therefore all the lasted retrenchments

Good working place,where I kicked started my fitter and Turner career
It's a very good place, there's growth and your opi,every employee is valued, there's a mutual respect amongst the workers and the employer,you are able to balance work and life.nioned, there's also an opportunity for people to study.

Unfortunate experience
Leadership incompetence became a distraction of good operations in the production environment , There was no I culture of team work , no relationship between management and the floor working group . Business was stopped in November 2018 and company was officially closed on the 30th of January 2019

I've learn so much in IT field
I enjoy helping co-workers I do my best to have a good day even if its not that easy. I started working as a student for 2 years and I have gain a lot in the field of Information Technology. I enjoy to learn new things and study more.

LEARNING CURVE
Good day a typical day at work is when I need to do reconciling of accounts, managing the balance sheet, ensuring all accounts are balanced and the books are clean. having friendly general conversations with colleagues growing and development is very important, from being the junior assistant to being the bookkeeper and ensuring the books balance I have learned a lot I enjoy everything in finance, the staff are friendly that's what make work enjoyable the most my most challenging aspects are being given new challenges with no support, I have learnt to tackle new challenges by applying a lot of common sense and seeking help from everyone not only my dept. I enjoy learning more about the different dept.

Great learning curve
The company is not that bad, however the current environment and fairness is unpleasant. I learnt that no matter how hard to try and adapt and how well you do your job some people will never appreciate you real worth and will always point out your mistakes and show that they can do your job better then you can.

Overworked
Working with too many managers and too little artisans who can actually do their job properly. Artisans getting the same pay but I must teach them or repair their faults.
