Maponya Inc Reviews

A great learning experience

this firm really lives up to its ethic. The work ethic is just as astounding. They work fairly and take initiative. They are accommodating of their staff and constantly moving with the times A typical working day starts off with a brief catch up meeting on work done thus far and a diary of the day ahead. If there is court, I would attend to trial or pre trial conferences. Consultations with client, to either take instruction or provide advice and a way forward. Interaction with staff on my team to follow up on their work progress and assist where my assistance is needed. I have three members on my team each with different roles. I have an open door policy. I have learned the art of team work and that all it takes is respect and being reasonable. I enjoy knowing that my hard work and dedication is to the betterment of someone else’s life.

Pros: A great opportunity to starting a career in the legal field
Cons: Long working hours indeed

Character building and no room for complacency

Give coworkers who report under me instructions for the day. My relationship with my coworkers is fairly good, fellow directors there is a lot of challenges. I have learned to be resilient, able to deliver on deadlines,no room for mistakes and to be willing to deal with different types of people.i enjoy the fast pace, handling new instructors, something I have not done before.challenging aspects are ndifferent work ethics, sometimes have to rely on other people especially if it’s a team effort and handling difficult clients.

Pros: supportive environment
Cons: Long working hours

Excellent learning curve

Working in the firm i was in has been exciting and it has taught me so many things . Having to work as group and being able to keep time is one of the things i have learned, there are sometimes where you have work loads and you have to keep up you have to draft the documents which need to be submitted at that time and on the other hand there things which you have to finish to be

Pros: Great opportunity for promotion
Cons: Long working hours

Fantastic education policy

Arrive at work at 7h15. Drink coffee, check emails. leave for court to attend to judicial case management meetings with the relevant judge. Then go to roll call, typically I have instructions by the time I arrive at court, if not, I will call the Claims handler, Senior, Team Lead or Manager. I spend roughly 4.5 hours at court per day, arguing and/or settling the matter. I return to the office, start preparing for my trial(s) the next day, preparing for the judicial case management meetings of the following day (I attend to my own matters as well as that of my director). attend pre-trials either at the office or drive to pre-trials at Plaintiff's attorneys and/or counsels.

Pros: Bonus
Cons: No promotional opportunities
