I have been blessed to work with one of the best Colleges in the country and have learned a lot.

I work in the Human Resources Department at Majuba TVET college and on a typical day I am responsible for leave capturing, leave updates on VIP System and Persal System. I do filling and updates on all employee files. I am also responsible for releasing the Receptionist / Switchboard on a daily basis, as I work for the Central Office with a very busy switchboard. I have a good working relationship with all of the employees and as challenging ass it may be to work in HR but i handle all day to day queries with ease as i enjoy working with people. I have learnt that when you do your work well it does not feel like work.

Pros: Working with people and getting rewarded, i.e emplyee recognition awards
Cons: When things do not go accordingly, everybody blames Human Resources Department

Willing to learn

Working long hours 8 hours a day. Relationship with co-workres is greater, there is different types of levels it a big company there admin staff and academic staff. We treat each each other collegues like members of the same family, no racisism. I enjoy a lot to worked for this company because each and every day you learnt something new, there is a lot of challenges where you have to use your thinking skills, where you have to deal with the situation.

Pros: there no promotion in this company, you got promotion when there is a vacant position but you have to apply for that position.
Cons: Long working hours

GOOD LISTNER

I HAVE INTERPERSONAL SKILLS , ABLE TO WORK UNDER PRESSURE AND TO WORK INDEPENDENTLY. I AM A HARD WORKER I LOVE FINANCE AND MOST IMPORTANTLY I AM ACCOUNTABLE AND HONEST.SINCE I HAV INTERPESONAL SKILLS I HAVE A GOOD RELATIONSHIP WITH MY COLLIGUES(WE USE TO DO BIRTH DAY PARTY AND CELEBRATE). I HAVE LEARNT THE WAY OF TREATING PEOPLE LIKE TALKING TO THEM IN A POLITE MANNER EVEN IF THEY GIVE ME ATTITUDE , AND THE FINANCE WORK LIKE INVOICING STUDENTS , COLLECT OUT STANDING DEBTS, RECEIPTING FROM BANK STATEMENT , PROCESSING OF REFUNDS AND BANK RECONCILIATION STATEMENTS. THE MOST CHALLENGING THING IS THAT IF YOU ARE TELLING PEOPLE THAT THEY OWE AND THEY CAN'T AFFORD TO PAY THEN I MUST SIGN AN ACKNOLWEDGEMENT OF DEBTS SAYING HOW ARE THEY GOING TO PAY AND THE MANAGER WILL AUTHORISE IT BUT I ENJOY ALL MY WORK.

Cons: NORMAL WORKING HOURS

EXCELLENT IN CALCULATIONS, GOOD COMMUNICATION SKILLS

I AM AN ETHUSIASTIC PERSON WHO CAN WORK UNDER PRESSURE . I WANT TO GROW UP IN THE FIELD OF FINANCE WITH A GENUINE INTERGRITY.I HAVE COMPLETED MY N6 IN FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT IN JUNE 2015, I AM CURRENTLY DOING 18 MONTHS INSERVICE TRAINING AT MAJUBA COLLEGE UNDER FINANCE DEPARTMENT : DEBTORS, THAT WILL END ON THE 31 OF OCTOBER 2017.I LOVE ADMINISTRATION WORK AND MOST IMPORTANTLY I AM ACCOUNTABLE AND HONEST.

Exposure for students

I was nice to work there, I enjoyed the every day motivation. And updates on how to perform well at work. Working with open and friendly people give me wealth as well as dealing with different people everyday as I was assisting in the registration of new and current students.

Pros: Great opportunity to be recruited
Cons: Long over the weekend

A Good Start where I got Experiance

Its been good to work for Majuba TVET College they gave Me a lot Experience of experience and they also showed me how to be a best employee when it come to having a good relationship with other stuff members and the management as a hole and they to also showed me that if you are at work never compromise it. they is one thing that I didint like about Majuba is that they dont want to employ us as permanent employees.

Pros: They are very good when it comes to teaching Interns
Cons: You can be a Intern For the rest of your life if you dont go outside and look for greener pascheres

Great, interesting and challenging job

I currently lead a team of dedicated Snr Lecturers with equally committed lecturers as well. Every day is worth looking forward to. Guiding the team and delivering to the eager to learn students. The job itself calls for innovation, foresight and planning hence keeps me interested at all times. The content delivering, plannin, coming up with innovative measures to meet our goals and enhance staff and student performance is the part I enjoy the most. It does come with challenges such as shortage of resources especially infrastructure which at times limits our planning and activities. Drop outs, though minimal are a biggest challenge especially as this requires me among others to track and get the student to return to college while availing all the support structures.

Pros: Community development, opportunities of growth and personal development (academic)
Cons: Non recognition of personal contributions

Great experience

it was a great experience it taught me how to work as a team and how office meeting are held. I also got an to experience how to arrive on time. my colleagues where very accommodating and welcoming . they showed me the ins and out of the company. my first working day was a bit challenging cause I was not use to a be in the working environment but when time goes I was able to adjust and worked freely

Great learning skills

I am capable young lady with full of knowledge in administrative skills. Good communication and maintained good working relationship all the time. Able to work under pressure and able to work dependent. Good I'm the use of Google chrome and explorer internet and Microsoft edge. Computer literally like Microsoft 2016 Excel,Access,Words,PowerPoint, Outlook, and Publisher.
