the company is well establish , different people and culture diversity which i do respect the working environment is from 7h15 to 16h00, depend on your schedule you are require to work more hours to meet your deadline which is norm relationship with cor- workers is team work where we like to meet once per week to discuss the process on work Learning i do learn the value of team work understanding different culture diversity communication i enjoy most challenge we face on treasury environment where it need your input on the spot working extra more hours to meed the deadline without proper feedback

Working for Lonmin was the best learning oportunity for me.

I work normal hours. The working environment is good. I enjoy working wit my team and doing my job. The most challenging about my job is doing fault finding between the field,plc and scada.

Pros: I started as an Operator and trainned as inastument mechanician I am now an Instrument Mechanician.
Cons: We work normal hours.

Work Review

working for supply chain in mining industry, customer service orientation on both external and internal customers. accuracy and timeous processing of customer contracts including understanding of different commodities is critical. Negotiation with customers relating to contract adjustments can be challenging as we will not always see eye to eye but at the end of the day a good relationship have to be established and maintained.

Pros: good cooporate culture
Cons: long working hours

Commodity Specialist

I enjoy the challenges. Each day is new . Managing labour issues brings in a dynamic that I had not experienced in all my other roles. My most challenging aspect is the involvement of AMCU in all my transactions. This means that I have to always bear that in mind before I make a decision.

I am hard-working person ,who works well in teams and able to work independently. I am able to work under pressure. Everyday I work with investigation skills,interviewing skills ,critical analysis skills,statement-taking and reporting skills,problem-solving skills

Amazing experience opportunity to with a vast array of different disciplines.

Typical drawing office workflow: Manager gives you or ask for an update on my current listed projects on a daily basis. Hands me a file with a brief description of work to be done and contact person (client). I arrange a site visit and collect all necessary info and measurements. Get back to the office and start working on the projects and also gives manager a time estimate. Using the necessary catalogues and standards as per the company and SABS. Once the drawings are finished they are given to the senior draughtsperson for checking, and if approved is sent to the client for comments. When comments are attended to the drawing gets issued for approval. Once approved the drawing gets issued for construction. The project file gets time allocations indicated and handed to the documents controllers for filing. Then the cycle repeats.

Pros: mining working experience like no other
Cons: Slow to train employees, lacking in necessary measuring equipment.

(Inventory management) • I am responsible for metal accounting and quality control of all metals in the plant; this was done in line with all ISO standards that is ISO 14001, 18000 and 9000. • I kept track of samples for analysis on LIMS (Laboratory Information Management system).

I strive for excellence and like to learn new things all the time to make my work easy and enjoyable

My typical day to day depends on the events of the specific day. You need to be focused and disciplined all the time. Planning and organising are the keys. I work very well with my colleagues, we are a small team. I have learned that I can not please everyone and its okay to agree to disagree, and you cannot be liked by everyone as well. I have learnt that you have to do what you can be achieve your goals and your dreams.What I enjoy the most is helping people in every possible way I can and going home knowing that I have a made a difference in someone life. Working at my company can be challenging sometimes as I deal with a lot of uneducated people and language barrier can be an issue as fanakalo Is used a lot. But that is not something I dwell too much on as I adjust and adapt quickly to situations.
