In a typical work day will be compiling Budget analysis reports from the Financial Schedules sent by Limpopo Municipalities Monthly, our divison specialised in different aspects like Budget reporting, Accounting and Asset management, Governance, Risk Management and Internal Auditing. Professionally, it is rare to actually acquire so much Knowledge in a short period of time and I am proud to have worked with a team that restrain so much data.You also don’t often get to engage with the whole Limpopo Province Municipal Managers and Chief Financial Officers and I feel honoured to have been given the privilege to engage in such a programme and to see our inputs blossom over a year from the initial stages all the way to closure.  I belief that through my abilities, compassion and will to be a hard worker I've got a good relationship will my former colleagues .

Focused on delivery and building and maintaining beneficial relationships

Currently, the Infrastructure Oversight Specialist at Limpopo Provincial Treasury I provide support to the Infrastructure Management Director by monitoring and enforcing infrastructure performance, supporting the provincial department preparation of infrastructure plans and ensuring that technical condition assessments are suitably planned for and budget provisions have been made available, while managing procurement processes and project progress to ensure timeous delivery. Typical day is ensuring that my key performance indicators are met by continuously engaging with Infrastructure, Facilities and Budget Management officials from client departments on unblocking challenges and improving performance aligned to the provincial growth and development strategy. I have to ensure that the IDMS is institutionalized. I have learnt throughout my career is the importance of forward planning, performance management, effective monitoring and having corrective actions on implemented programs.

Knowledge and skills

I'm a people person I enjoy working with a team because it gives me an opportunity to share my skills knowledge,challenges and learn everyday also from others. My experience taught to handle different kinds of personalities professionally so , things like solving conflicts with clients and colleagues . I love communicating whatever challenge I encounter at a go to avoid unnecessary frustrations at work and thus allow myself to be productive each day. The challenging aspects is to work with a client who does not understand nature of work of internal auditor and client that undermine the contribution we are making to the business however I am well versed with the type of clients and a I apply an accommodating technique to make the situation work for both of us.

Learning Curve

Since I join provincial Treasury I have learn alot as I was doing Internal audit technician their modules help me to relate to my learning curve. As IT Audit, I have learned alot about cyber security, Caats especially ACL, my co worker are very helpful and if I don't understand something I go to them and help me. I also learn about treasury regulations, PFMA etc

Public sector employment

We offer financial accounting support to public entities Work well in team Great work we do to conducts reviews of the financial statements & advise accordingly It is however often challenging when clients do not find time to submit reports I'll would like to move up for a change

Pros: Great job that does the reviews & assessment against Standards & Treasury prescripts

Quick learner

It is great to work in auditing field. I have learnt that communication is the most important tool in this field as we communicate with clients from junior to senior level. I love this field because I know everytime when I get a project that I will be helping the organisation to achieve its objectives and adding value too.

Excellent Learning Experience

Review departmental reports for accuracy and completeness This anclude Financial Statements, Sundry Accounts and bookkeeping. The department rely on the feedback given on the reviewed report to valid and ensure that the information is correct and compliance. Departments can also visit or request assistance from me regarding the preparation of financial statements and other reports. The compliance requirements are based on ASB, Treasury Regulations, GRAP and MCS.
