Learning curve and experience

During my time at Lektratek I was fortunate enough to gain much experience in the field of HR and had been exposed to many different kinds of employees and how they react to everyday tasks etc. I was tasked to handle the unfortunate retrenchment our company face at the end of 2015 - it is always sad to have to downsize due to operational requirements. I’ve had experience in being present during interviews, disciplinary hearings, CCMA cases, Bargaining Council cases and dismissals The best part of my time at Lektratek was the people I got to know, certain employees or always greeted me with smiles on a daily basis, and also the ones who always had issues (which was due to a lack of understanding) and me having to explain it to them as best I could for them to understand better. We often do not realize that not everyone is/was able to be educated as some and therefore sometimes need to just take a step back and put ourselves in another’s place.

EXPERIENCE

I am working as fitter at Lektratek in Potchefstroom on a contract base. My experience: gearboxes engines hydraulics tow trucks (breakdowns) roll backs pumps valves

Cons: THE ONLY PROBLEM IN MY CURRENT COMPANY IS THAT I AM A CONTRACTOR AND THE FUTURE IS UNCERTAIN
