LED Lighting SA Reviews

Best training

It is of great importance loving one's job and at LED lighting SA there is a good company vibe with all chances presented over training. My day start with checking emails and following up on orders to be delivered. I also start processing new sales order and put them to our production capable to delivery, that states when an order will be out of dispatch. The company uses theory of constrain over looking all various department function and where could be a constrain. I flow with th theory by following it and carrying my work within the job functions.

Pros: Project Manegement
Cons: Satified customer

Excellent learning curve

It is a good learning curve for my career path as I am exposed to new design programs and learning more about the lighting industry. I have learned a lot that goes into light then just switching a plug on and light coming out. The colour temperature and how it affects our mood and emotions. It is a good company to work for, it is small and we have intimate almost family like kind of relationship with co-workers.

Pros: Good opportunity to learning Auto Cad
Cons: Position rely on Sales volumes. So when Sales are low I am not as busy

A different approach

We've adopted an approach of the division of labour, effectively simulating a conveyor belt with the various departments becoming customers and/or suppliers to each other. This is a different approach to previous experiences where the sales person is responsible for the client interface, the issuing of quotes and the design of proposals. It does harness a team spirit, but it is also easy to pass blame or excuses once something goes wrong, further down the process.

Pros: Opportunity to obtain technical knowledge
Cons: No room for growth - flat management structure

Highly unstructured

Company has no structure, no performance and yearly bonuses which limits growth and opportunities. Poor management strategies where minimum planning is done and staff is required to perform efficiency with no incentive and motivation.

Pros: Exposure to lighting technologies
Cons: Ongoing additional Tasks expected outside job scope
