Family work environment

A typical work day consisted of going to each of the schools involved in the project that were assigned to me, meeting with the Principal and Teachers for the day. Observing how Teachers used the SMART boards and provide any assistance where necessary with after school training session. Weekly reports to the company and line Managers about how the project roll out was going. There was always an open and honest relationship with managers, about procedures, problems and any helpful tips. Personally I learnt how to work in a large group and different learning and managerial styles from the teachers and managers I worked with. I enjoyed working with people and training them, expanding their knowledge and mine at the same it. It is so fulfilling to walk away at the end of the day knowing you helped someone achieve a personal goal. The challenges were as many as the rewards, where I had to adapt my training style to accommodate different learning styles as well as different levels of knowledge.

Family work environment

Whilst working with the company I felt respected and as though I were part of a family. I could raise concerns without being shut down and I was given the necessary guidance when needed. Most challenging aspects of training adults is that they are already stuck in their ways but have also developed their own learning styles. This gave me a the skills to work with different people and adapt my style to accommodate each person. I enjoyed making a difference in educators and students lives, some of my educators had never touched a computer before.

Great opportunity to grow

Working with this company was great, it felt like you were always part of a family. One could raise concerns and comments and management would listen to you. It was a challenging but rewarding job training adult learners.
