Lawyers for Human Rights Reviews

Its been a very good experience working as an intern here at lawyers for human righs

i work 8 hours per day with much of work given sometimes its tiring sometimes its not when you don't have much to do. my relationship with my colleagues its very professional and friendly up to so far there are no arguments and fight with any of my colleagues. with me working with the operations manager and people from the finance team I've learnt a lot and see that with the experience that i have been given by the team of lawyers for human right i feel that i need to apply it else where what i enjoy most is working on a task that is very challenging and find it easy when i finally nail it the most challenging thing about being an intern was when i wasn't given task related to my qualifications because at that point you not learning anything and not being given a task while you can be sitting at the office doing nothing is very challenging because you need the experience

Pros: yes a promotion would be a wonderful opportunity
Cons: 8 hours -9 hours per day

Developing and excellent growth in the practice industry

I have gain great confident in screening client and consultation. drafting of legal documents. I have a wonderful relationship with my senior colleagues and peers. the most challenging aspect of the job is the number of client sometimes it escalate to 16 per day. I enjoy assisting my client with their legal matters especially when their right has been infringed. I hold LLB degree from Unisa and completed my Law school with law society. am looking for an opportunity to serve articles.

Pros: we have normal working hours
Cons: an interpreter during consultation

No opportunity for growth

Too much racism and nepotism, staff members are treated differently and all black people who occupied senior positions are captured by whites and foreign nations, they only occupy positions by title and not by power. From the outsiders the organisation is perfectly structured and everyone crave to join the team, but once you are part of the staff members you will regret why you joined them, foreigners are given first preference and diplomatic treatment, funding is also being misused by white senior managements.

Pros: Great opportunity for exposure
Cons: No growth, staff members are treated diferently

I am a hard worker, very focused and well experienced

On my current employment I have always been receiving excellent feedback from my direct line managers, which proves my strong commitment to perform my responsibilities in a professional and effective manner. I enjoy to work in a team, but also comfortable to work independently. Furthermore, I am able to work under pressure, have excellent verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to take initiatives and responsibility for the tasks I am assigned to perform in HR, Payroll and Fleet Management. I believe this opportunity would be a good start to show off my full potential and utilize my skills and knowledge. In that line I am looking forward to your call for an interview.

Pros: Growth and seeking for new challenges
Cons: Pancuality and workaholic

Great learning curve in public interest litigation and urgent applications

The LHR PTA team works very well together in the challenging environment where we see 10 to 15 clients per day with limited resources and capacity. I enjoy the diverse work environment and the new international colleagues I get to meet every three months. It is challenging to deal with the traumatic experiences your clients share with you on a daily basis.

Pros: Great opportunity to network internationally
Cons: Long working hours
