Typical day, meet with staff at work stations discuss safety and review work done yesterday and plan for today. Contact planners to discuss maintenance work planed for the day, and progress on spares for planned shutdowns. Good open relationships with co-works, depending on situation the interaction can be very formal, or friendly. What I have learnt in my current job is not to take everything personal, do not be afraid to ask for help, plan as much as possible and be alert to the big moment to react quickly. I have always worked with stock (raw materials, finished goods, packaging and spare parts), so I enjoy the challenge of managing stock. I run the main warehouse in Lichtenburg, and have a say over 3 remote warehouses, the most challenging aspect is to keep every one working at the same standard and to follow the standard procedure.

Pros: Will assist with studies.
Cons: Slow moving.

Development, career growth and Learning

My duties includes but not limited to daily inspection on plant equipments, maintenance as scheduled, attending to breakdowns. Performing standby duties and work shifts as required by plant production.

Excellent learning curve , no career progression

Senior professional with over 18 years’ experience in business start-up, integration, quantifying and applying due diligence for acquisitions and business turnaround. I have obtained most of my experience in the Waste and Environmental Management industry. I currently work as the Managing Director Geocycle for the LafargeHolcim group and prior to this role, I was the Head Logistics, Landfill and Sales for the Averda group in South Africa and subsequently spent the 10 months working abroad in Beirut, Morocco, Angola, UK, Dubai and Oman.

Good experience local and abroad across different industries

Managing Team, Discussion with stakeholders, Reviewing project progress, Managing escalations. Logistics around projects. Team Health and well being. Enjoy: Challenging environment across geographies and cultures. Everyday is different. Challenges : Seen as opportunities. You keep on learning and adapting as dealing with different people across the globe

Excellent learning curve

If I could summarize in less than few words, i could say "Titanic is sinking". In an event where costs/expenses are over ROI/Profits everything goes south. Staff cost increases, Employee Morale decreases, Staff Turnover increases, Absenteeism increases, Disciplinary cases increases and Productivity radically drops.

I co-operate all the time and I enjoy solving Mechanical Engineering related obstacles.

I have learnt a lot, include working as a team and individually. I interact easily with people from diverse backgrounds. I mostly enjoy doing preventive maintenance strategies other than doing corrective maintenance strategies.

I am willing to learn new engineering aspects everyday.

Hard work, dedication, working under pressure, work abnormal hours. I have learned to work as a team and as an- individual, I omitted a lot of work experience, provided I am always hungry for the new challenges in my career.

See Cv as job varies from day to day.companynis excellent place to work for the people are friendly and everyone is fully competent. Everyone is helpfull, teams are built on exceptional skills in there respective departments but work as a well oil team with minimum help.
