Labucon Resources Reviews

Responsibility for the quality of departmental output

Firstly to make sure that all drivers come in and do a breathalyzer test before leaving the company yard. Driver tags are being used at all times. Making sure that all battery disconnect, no-go area and speed violations alarms followed up and investigated Checking that Cartrack and Icam contact us for the same alarm as they are also used as backup units. Checking Icam video's for any alarms that are reported on the system. Reports checked on a daily basis. Corresponding with the drivers controller to give directions to the correct locations. Most challenging part would be having two managers that kept making procedural changes as they do not see eye to eye, this made it harder on most of my colleagues as management kept making changes with no detailed procedure of how they wanted it to be done. I did enjoy the challenge of dealing with suppliers and how other tracking software and fleet management systems worked, planning the best routes to follow and investigating accidents and theft.

Pros: Work was not complicated
Cons: No opportunity for training courses or advancement in the foreseeable future

Leaning Curve

I have Previous experience working on Maxx base systems while employed at Ctrack South South Africa. I also did a Project management course part time, so i have a working knowledge of the needed tracking software and Microsoft based programs. As a Fleet Controller, working at Labucon resources also work on Icam, Lynx Telematics and Cartrack tracking software - Monitoring, route planning, reports and making sure the Drivers comply to company driving standards. I am confident my transferable skills make me a solid candidate for this opening, I respectfully submit my resume for your review and request a meeting to discuss the opportunity further. I will make myself available at your convenience and look forward to your call to arrange a time. Thank you for your time and consideration

Excellent learning curve

You cant be soft, at all. It doesn't matter if you're a laborer, tradesman, foreman, supervisor, manager. There is no room for anyone being soft. Any sign of weakness and the fellas will exploit it. You need to be physically, and mentally strong in order to survive. If you show ANY kind of weakness. It doesn't matter if you're a good worker or not. You will be pegged as a whiner. As a result, you will never be able to fill a wheelbarrow fast enough. You will never work hard enough. You will be mocked relentlessly in order to weed you out.

Pros: Great opportunity for growth
Cons: Long working hours

Learning Curve

Worked with 1 fleet controller and manager every shift - excluding night shifts. Relationship with management was not to great as he did not teach. Relationship with other was was excellent and enjoyable as I could train new employed staff. Most challenging part was reviewing camera feeds for suspected theft on old systems.
