Excellent Learning Curve

Working with the council has been a great experience thus far, our team is rather small so in order to accomplish our tasks, we have to learn to be cooperative and work together to the best of our abilities. Our team is friendly and everyone gets on well with one another. I have never had an issue with any of them so it has been a joy. I have learnt so much so far and have been with the council since 2014, this is my first job after finishing high school in 2013. So all the experience I have gained thus far is working with the company. I began my journey as an intern, and was then promoted to an Administrator position. I am also currently the receptionist at the council and am training on Pastel. While gaining experience on Pastel, I recently started freelancing and working in the Admin. Finance department for another company in my spare time.

Pros: Learning to work with other individuals and experiencing the world of the fashion industry.
Cons: Maintaining an ideal work balance.

Experience Gained

I gained my experience through the council since 2014, it was an excellent learning curve working for a dynamic government organisation. What I enjoyed about my job was meeting new people in the industry, getting to know the environment everyone functioned in. Our team used to be supportive but at the current stage, everyone is still learning to adjust to new management . I think we need good team spirit which we lake presently.

Pros: Gaining work experience
Cons: Low salary, long working hours
