A professional insurance & risk adviser. With claims & risk management in the financial services arena. Current small brokerage active for over a decade has folded due to tender irregularities; no problems with service, honesty, performance etc Client servicing core in our industry. Clients pay a hard earned premium in order to be looked after when a problem (claim) surfaces. Looking after their interests in these difficult times is my passion. Many years of experience makes one able to identify a problem almost straightaway!

Pros: Very small brokerage in the short term insurance industry. Always prepared to meet employee demands when it comes to fairness & employee performance, e.g. earning commission for special performance & prompt customer service.
Cons: Many facets of expenditure are for the employees own account. Travelling, cell phones, entertainment, medical aid, etc. etc

Fairly new financial services broking company which indirectly connected to King Price.

At present working in a shrinking Cc where major govt projects were lost due to tender imbalances. Very happy work environment with managing major funds for underwriting & claims Have secured a brilliant understanding of aggregate excess structures & self insurance.

Pros: The Co was connected to a major short term insurance organisation where lucrative leads were generated
Cons: Travelling became a serious cost factor especially client visits in outlying provinces

Brilliant opportunity for enhancing customers involvement in risk manag9& risk control

My own brokerage which went dormant following loss of entire book of mainly Gov't short term insurance business Very dedicated in the claims, uwg & client servicing areas Learnt a huge lot about self funding & aggregate excess arenas where clients create their own pool of premiums rather than paying everything over to insurers A major benefit to commercial & Corp clients. Servicing their uwg & claims a key factor to the client's turnover Very good relationship with coworkers & management to show that the client comes first.

Pros: Fantastic area for profit sharing & asset management
Cons: Tedious working hours to se plan in motion
