I moved from Construction company to Forestry so there was a good learning curve

Get to work early (6:45am) and address any emails from the plantations (where they are requesting orders). Capture all data on JD Edwards system in order to generate orders which are approved by the Procurement Manager. Assist other procurement personnel as needed. Assist Procurement Manager with her checking functions. Liase with Plantation Clerks regarding any training needed and solve the problems raised. I have learnt the procedures to be followed in the public procurement process and am currently studying for a Public procurement diploma through Unisa. My relationship with co-workers is good and they rely on me to help them when necessary. I enjoy achieving the goal of ensuring that the audit reporting is favourable and that the negative reporting points are minimised. The most challenging aspect of the job is that I have been temp (fixed contract) for three years and it doesn't seem to end.

Cons: Fixed contract rolled over for three years. No sign of permanent position

Better opportunities

We do installation,wiring and maintenance of electrical equipment.

I am a 35 year old male who is a qualified electrician.I have 3 year experience as plant electrician doing maintenance of plant, wiring, installation and all electrician duty.

Pros: To work for this company have given me the opportunity to learn more about fault finding,PLC,house keeping, leadership experience and how to minimise down time of the plant.
Cons: To work for this company have given me the opportunity to learn how to work long hours and how to manage time
