Excellent at what I do

Managing +- 100 employees on site and 7 subcontractor that are on grade 1. They all still learner so I assist them and also make sure everyday is productive. We have a communication because we believe in everything is possible when working as a team and for team to achieve, they need to communicate about everything. I have learned that in this industry everyone is important from a Labour to a director, each employee must do their duties according to their responsibility in order for a site to be productive. To see employees happy, because when the employees are happy they produce quality work on time. When we working with no goal of what we want to achieve and how to achieve it.

All round experience in all facets including business management

Excellent relationship with co-workers. Involved in accounts, HR, Site operation and financial aspects of the business. Meeting Clients, marketing the business and procuring new work. Attending project meetings, evaluating progress on site, providing solutions to challenges experienced on site. I enjoy being thrown into the deep end and forced to get involved in not only the building and Project management side but as well as the running of the business from a director level. it was a family business, personal interests took precedent to the the business.

Challenging and inspiring

Daily communication between Subordinate staff and site management. Where a crime has taken place after hours, it would be my duty to go and assess the seriousness of the matter and take adequate action. Conduct internal investigations for incidents, accidents and theft. Audit different sites for legal compliance

Pros: Great learning experience as every project is different
Cons: No personal time
