Great place for growth I your early career development

I am a young vibrant, career orientated, energy driven and have a real enthusiasm for the Agriculture and Marketing industry. I grew up on a small village in the Blouberg municipal area and farming on a small scale was our way of surviving and paying for our everyday expenses, I want to concentrate my research work on consumer behavior since I'm busy doing my diploma in Geographic Information System and I believe my I was retrenched at the end of 2020 and I just registered to further my studies and was paying from my own salary.  ules already for the academic year 2021  My biggest achievement in my career so far was working in Nairobi Kenya at Kantar East Africa for a period of 2 months on secondment in 2019. I was one of the 5 applicants chosen from over 70 applicants from the company in 3 offices.   It was challenging and I got to learn how diverse lll

Good learning curve

They take good care of tjeir staff though ther are no increases and paid leave, no benefits.ake good care of their stadf. We close down every December and then come back January, while close there is no payment because we worked on an hourly basis . public holidays are not paid for as well as December holidays.

Pros: Good for school leavers

Currently doing my postgraduate

I have greatly enjoyed working at Kantar for almost three years now. In those years, I have become an important member of the team, and done my level best to contribute to the company.

Excellent stepping stone

A typical work day is busy, your work life over flows into personal life. I love working with data and find it fascinating. I don't see the extra hours beong out in as i love what i doal work day

Relaxed work culture

Fun work environment. Regular events. Downside is a secretive management culture that promotes a lack of transparency. Overall it's an excellent company for your first or second job, but little can be said for career progression and recognition.

Good Learning Curve

In this company I got to learn and grow a lot in the IT field, I was exposed to many different coding techniques and best practices and the full SDLC cycle. I could maintain a good relationship with my teammate and direct line manager, they were always supportive and friendly. however, the most challenging aspect was that our findings and achievements were not heard and acknowledged by higher management when ended in a downfall out our department.

Pros: Small Departments, so good communication with teammates, good learning curve
Cons: Minimum recognition as professionals

There is a lot of racism going on within the industry and company is making a lot of money but theu less pay us. They don't make us permanent even after so many years we worked for the company we still Temporarily contractors

Get work done on time.capture Accurately

A typical day at the office is to do your work and meet the benchmarks of getting the scripts out in time. I have a good relationship with my co-workers, we joke sing give advise where needed we are like a family. I have learnt how to capture data accurately and fast and also spot the minor errors. I just likt the face of going vto work doing what I do at my best of my ability. The challenges of the job is having to wait a long while for the scripers to get back with feedback as we are an international company.

Pros: It's OK for a 1st time job
Cons: There is no growth
