I am an energetic, ambitious, hardworking, talented Mechanical Engineer.

I have acted as Engineering Manager for a period of eight month before I got my GCC. Even though I was thrown in a deep end I managed to lead Engineering department with success. I have eleven (11) years working experience in heavy Engineering, Manufacturing, Mining and Construction Projects industries.

Pros: I was promoted from been construction supervisor to an Engineer
Cons: I do my planning properly and my work in time. but if need be I do spend long hours at work.

A learning and i want to make a difference

I work with end product which is manganese.Sending product to the customers by road and rail.Ensure the employees comply to safety rules.Ensure that the product has been sampled and there is assurance that what is being loaded is the right product.I set targets for myself and for the team and ensure that those targets are met. I have different stakeholders so i ensure that i communicate.I engage with my team at all levels and motivate and chase good achievements.

Pros: I have a chance of becoming a Logistics Management
Cons: Putting on extra hours to achieve targets

Leading People

I am employed as a Plant Lead, heading approximately 80 employees. I manage and mentor Metallurgists, train and develop plant operators, Control room operators and Supervisors. I have learned to lead people of different qualifications and backgrounds, and ensure that there is team work and collaboration within the department and inter-departments.

Pros: Improving leadership skills
Cons: Less time spent on technical aspects and more on people management

Excellent Learning Curve To a Real Life

I do core logging, mapping, reef update and auditing cover drilling. Sampling faces underground and logging according to channel width, do QAQC ( Quality Assurance and Quality Control, do the reports after results come from assay. Measuring stock piles, stake out the boreholes

Build self confident

A good environment were team work is the key and one can learn good communication skills. A good place to learn about dry comminution and sintering of manganese. excellent place to learning about crushing from run of mine to the final size required. Communication is the key for production in this industry.Material is taken further after desired size to sintering process were it involves coke,Manganese,mixer,water,nodulizer and furnace

Cons: inconsistent shifts, No promotion, Learning/growth limitation ,Fixed term contract

This is the opportunity for an Engineer at my level who seek to deliver the best to the company. I have more to offer from my experience practically and theoretical background including continuous improvement. I have experience in underground mining and process plants working with all kind of Machineries like winders, conveyors, mills, crushers, screens, filters, cyclones, thickeners, pumps, hydraulics, TMM’s etc. covering construction, commissioning and operational maintenance.

Excellence learning

The best challenge it was the first my time work in the mine, what kind of environment it is and get exposure to this industry. I told myself is the work and i should do it. It was a pleaseure to meet different people , culture , behavious ,but agree to work together and the reach target without looking at each other toes. Being in mining industry helps me lots to stand up on may feet , respect everyone a young and old people. Seeing old man four o'clock in the morning going to work
