Experience the business startup

Working in a small startup business is the penultimate Jack of all trades. You have to be able to do everything, from the admin & books to sales and the mundane tasks of QA/QC and the most important Safety. But what it teaches you is what each function entails and and what the job requires when the company grows and you have to employ someone. Giving employees a clear vision is the best way to drive the vision of your company. The most challenging is most certainly the lack of time. The phrase "too many things too little time" rings true more times than most. BUT, when you stand back and look at a company that you thought out, nurtured to existence and made it grow into something tangible is worth all the effort.

Pros: Learn learn learn, and then learn some more.....
Cons: The buck stops with you. You and you alone is responsible. Especially in trying economic times.

Excellent learning curve in doing everything a business must do!

Working for yourself is both very rewarding but also extremely scary. It is a daunting task to balance marketing, IT services (internal), sales, business administration and doing the actual work that brings in the money. It is a challenge but it is also very rewarding. Is it easy? - No, it requires hard work and constant work. And sometimes the work is too much to do in the time required. you need to learn to prioritize and focus on the important stuff. This process of prioritizing the work is an ongoing process of constant re-evaluation.

Pros: You are in control of your destiny
Cons: High risk with no guarantees of earning income
