Daily i attend to customer call screening and directing calls to the relevant department Taking of messages and passing it through(via email , making call , sticky note) Signing in parcels and giving it to mail room I have a good relationship with my co-workers just along as they also do their job , i tend to take control because i believe that a small thing reflects the hole group either or less we all made that small mistake. i have learnt not ti get emotional and attached to customer quires cause some customers take advantage of ones kindness. I enjoy being able to help out in other department with paper work when asked to its when i explain to my manager that the call log is full and we cant just transfer without screening, and that the internal calls are making a Que for the customer,mean while other department are not picking up their phone when there are actually in the office
Pros: understanding new softwears, understanding warranty issues, understanding CPA
Cons: working on weekends with the id department( having to tell customers people don't work on weekends and they ask you what are doing there alone)

How to overcome
High volume work,pressurised 24/7. Have accountants doing all sorts of nitty gritty things like paying electricity,invoicing while the income statement is riddled with overexpenditure.
Pros: There are none
Cons: Too much work for one person,have accountants doing clerical work instead of cost inspection

Reconcile the accounts that have over or short payments Request for tenants history from the supplier Calculate rates when there's increase request municipal account before and after the increase Query abnormal charges in all the utilities Query wrong charges in rental supplier sometimes increase before escalation take place Beware when the is a closer and advice the supplier
Pros: The experience and skills I gained in this company will allow me to grow my career
Cons: We only work for 8 hours we put more effort when it's financial year end that is when we put more hours

Be calm when dealing with a difficult client
Greeting everyone start a day with a prayer discuss goals for /target for the day do follow ups with clients, help a collegue were is necessary . Enjoy making few jokes lough with collegues, Learn that every person is different treat each other with respect. Challenge is when a client collegue has issues with you and dont want to resolve them.

Great learning curve as i was constantly moved into different positions within the management team
Currently it is a bit unstable as Steinhoff has taken us over and jobs are being altered and shifted constantly! other than that it is not a bad place to be working in. relationships with colleagues are great . i have learnt 100 x more about the JD group as a whole and this has given me a better perspective on the company and how it operates. i enjoyed all that i was able to put my hand too. the most challenging was how invoicing was done within the company.
Pros: one learns a lot by moving around within the company
Cons: up at 4:30 - traffic - working hours 8 to 4:30 - then long traffic trek home. not pleasant.

Not a nice place to work any more no stablity
I dont advise anyone to seek employment there they retrench every six months no security at all.
