Excellent pearning curve

It is not a job its a learnership where they give us projects to work on, so i have no work experience. We attend lecture classes from monday to friday and we do different programs each for a period of 3 months and after 3 months we have to do practicals and go write certfications exam. I have gained more knowledge and in depth of the technical skills. We started by Comptia A+ and at the end we had to assemble a computer case from the start. Secondly we had to create our own prototype for our C# project and i choose to develop a school portal of my own where student will get all school updates, financial statement and upcoming events. For our CCNA we had to develop a Network System from the start. I used 10 computers, Switch, Router, Wifi and Ethernet Cables and i then have to configure VLANS, Remote Desktop and, Remote Access. Configure DHCP, DNS, Visual Technologies and other Network Configuration. Overall the Experience was exciting and fun to get hands on experience

Pros: Great opportunity to gain experience
Cons: Its a learnership so we have more theory and less practicals

Excellent for learning, intense high pressure training received

A typical day at work is 8 hours long including an hour long break. My relationship with my colleagues is quite productive as we worked together in a number of presentations and projects to be presented as a group. Though we didn't always work in groups we always offered each other support in cases where one person needed help. I learnt how to work well with people and improve my communication skills. I enjoyed the daily challenges of learning something new everyday and having to use it in our practicals daily. The most challenging aspect was dealing with different people with different personalities but I learnt how to deal and work well with them

Pros: great skills learnt
Cons: short period of learning given
