Learning how to manage european way of work vs South Afrcan culture

I am currently filling 2 roles in my current company training Manager and WCM Manager role. It has been a rewarding experience working for ISAW (Iveco South Africa Works). In a short space of time I have being able to implement learning programs for leadership and technical roles to up skill employees at all levels of the organization. Establishing the BBBEE committee to executed as per the new codes requirements within a foreign controlled company. I have learned to embrace change management practices the enables the stake holders to buy in to new ideas or new ways of work. what I enjoy the most is to engage at the higher level with executives to provide some kind of guidance within the South African operation. what's challenging is the language and difference in culture between Italian way of execution.

Pros: Being expose to the board of directors and being able to provide advise gain insight of how the business is run
Cons: Reporting structure and lack of transperency

Excellent learning curve

- My typical work - responding to internal customers on late deliveries and material shortages, as well as communicating to external supplies on poor services on their performances. - My relationship with co-workers - good communication, better acknowledgement of each other responsibilities. - What I have learnt - is working as team and being able to work under pressure, we currently involve in introduction of world class manufacturing(WCM) tools the new "know how's" of continuous improvement and people development mechanism. - What I enjoy most - reaching the ultimate goal of my KPIs which is customer satisfactory. - The most challenging aspects of the job - not being able to respond of the short coming from the late delivery point of view and also not being able to balance the stock reports during cycle counting or stock taking.

Pros: great opportunity to learn
Cons: standard working hours
