My daily life

Daily interaction with internal and external stakeholders.Good and not perfect relationship with the co-workers but the aim is to achieve goals and objectives. Have learn to adapt and adjust into different cultures. The most enjoyable part of my job , it is not the same and you deal with different challenges.The most challenging part is logistics service provider sourcing.

Day in the life

I currently perform a dual role in being the Launch Lead for Supplier Quality as well as managing a portfolio of commodities that are to be localised for new projects. The Covid 19 pandemic has meant that for the last year I have been mostly working from home. This does have its benefits e.g. no travel time to work but also means that one does not interact with your colleagues as much and instead of speaking directly to someone to obtain feedback or input people have a tendency to set up meetings instead. But this has also pushed me in to use technologies available to communicate and manage things remotely.

Pros: As far as OEM's are concerned we are (globally) relatively small and do not have many prescribe global procedures. This affords us the ability to largely decide what and how we need to do things.
Cons: As we are globally relative small we have limited support from sister companies and less opportunities to share learnings

Excellent learning opportunity in Business Development, Sales and Marketing and pricing

Great company to work for Work autonomously Enjoy the business and Marketing side of the business Most challenging is the start of all relationships with newbies Great co-worker relationships Typical workday would visit new suppliers, vett new business, work on business case advertising and marketing, Pricing, customer interaction and problem solving

Good Company to work for. Need more challenges

Good Company to work for. Great colleagues Enjoy the sales and marketing part of the business Love meeting people and building relationships Need more challenges within the business Need to be more flexible within the business Too much red corporate tape when doing business Looking for a change

Pros: Great people to work with.
Cons: Stuck in the past with old ideas. Need to take a few more calculated risks

Great Experience in the motor Industry. I learnt allot over the years.

Great Company to work for. However no room for growth in the Finance Department. Flexible Work Hours Only interacted with my department as we spent most of our day with them. Over the years my time Management became excellent as i was self managed, and responsible for all aspects of my job.

Cons: No room for growth

A team player, good communication, supportive, leading

Coworkers are supportive, team players, goal oriented, , build their employees work character and skills. Care about their team mates personal lives. They are problem solvers, good negotiations skills, good management skills

Pros: Exposure to design office environment, Exposure to new skills, invest in employees personal growth within the company.
Cons: Long working hours
