My expertise

I strive to deliver the best HR practices at any organization I work in. I am commercially focused and enjoy working with business to develop HR solutions to drive profit. For example I reviewed and implemented a new costing model to provide contract sales staff. This model affected the business in increase our margins from 3% to 17% in one month I enjoy challenges and never back down from one I can work independently and have been doing so throughout my career where my Line Manager have been based internationally I am a strategic thinker and this I can showcase throughout my career through my BBBBEE Work I have completed for the Multinationals I have worked for

Pros: I wanted to be invested in the company brand, believe in what they offer and be part of a team that makes a difference every day
Cons: I am not a political HR Person and believe in being direct, confront the problem, find a solution that works for all

Learning curve

I personally think IQVIA is a good company to get exposure. I perform data management cleaning anf validation processes. We work in teams, so it is vital to have good relationships with co-workers. There is some unfair treatment and favoritism. I have not gotten a bonus or a salary increase since I started working here, however my counterparts that have worked for less time. There is no career growth.

Specialised Talent Researcher with growing knowledge in niche recruiting.

My name is Mmathapelo Mokose. I would like to apply for the post advertised by your establishment. I currently work as a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist/HR Support at IQVIA a multinational pharmaceutical based in Centurion. I have experience working in health/pharmaceutical and media research, recruitment, administration, human resources, Media, Wine advertising and sales, hospitality and front desk services. I also have completed work as a university tutor to first year health and sociology students at the University of the Witwatersrand. I have qualified in two academic fields. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Media Studies and Sociology (Industrial/ Labour) and a Honours degree in Development Sociology specialising in Social Health and Labour studies, both obtained from the University of the Witwatersrand. I have also recently completed a Grade R teaching course from the University of South Africa.

Learn on the job

Somewhat difficult as the is not an openness for discussion. No room for explanation and decisions are made without consulting the relevant managers

IQVIA

IQVIA was a wonderful place to work at I've learned so much from them and met allot of people inside the comp+-200 employees to all the representatives for different pharmaceutical companies. Unfortunately my position was created to control the backlog they encountered and the fixed temporary contract could not be extended as it is a international company and since 2018 they've been on a headcount freeze so they could not even employee me in another department. But none the less a excellent company that taught me so much.

Cons: International company with a headcount freeze since 2018 unfortunately they are still on the freeze and cannot hire permanent staff

Currently work for encourages development of communaction and continuous self development.

My current job involves database build and maintenance. We handle medical data and deliver properly structured and cleaned data. We are encouraged to be self sufficient and to develop our skills. Our deadlines are extremely strict and timeliness sometimes extreme. I have worked hundreds of hours over time for this company without much gratitude. Being a home-based employee compounds the difficulty of my job, so I feel I need to explore other avenues.

Pros: Job security and good benefits like medical aid and home internet is paid for by the company
Cons: Very long hours.

Great working enviroment

Great enviroment with flexible working hours. Friendly colleagues with the need to help. Training always available upon request. Coffee and tea always available. Clean water and sanitary.

Pros: Opportunity to travel abroad
Cons: Not much room for growth
