Introduction into general cargo shipping

Normal routine would start with following up on current shipments. Forwarding clients detailed information and updating reports. Invoicing departured shipments and arranging collection or deliveries on new shipments. My manager relized I'm really good with people, numbers and problems so currently I'm in problem solving for creditors and debtors. Somehow I have a way of clearing up any accounts issues that the accounts department couldn't do for months. I have never been in finance so the was a massive opportunity for me to learn and challenge myself. I enjoy working under pressure and I pride myself in being above average when it comes to my work. Working in a stressful environment like freight you learn to depend on your co-workers building almost family like relationships with them. I'm great at working in a team yet can stand my ground on my own.

Pros: Wonderful opportunity to learn and expand my knowledge on exports
Cons: Traveling the distance for the salary. Can also not afford to relocate on my current salary.

Team player, love challanges

Do tracking & queries Make bookings & do estimates Work with an awesome team I have a firm believe that the customer is not always right, but that the customer is king I enjoy the challenges that my job bring, in the sense that not 1 day is the same & each day brings new challenges & opportunity to learn something new.

Pros: I want to grow in my industry
Cons: Difficult clients not understanding that somethings are out of my control
