Fast moving, tender based buying

A typical day would be highly pressured due to extremely tough deadlines. I have learned to work under these circumstances by managing my time and prioritising tasks.

Pros: A Vast product knowledge of different industries is gained as a buyer, as we procure all items from steel tubing to micro chips from China to nuts and bolts, servers, PPE safety equipment
Cons: No opportunity for promotion, no bonuses or increase were given. No over time is paid.

Currently Manage the maintenance team, manage the current budgets for cost and profit on a national basis, Conduct customer meetings. Ensure the cost centers are running profitable. Meeting with board and executive management monthly basis. Travel to all provinces once a month to ensure standards are maintained

Excelent learning cuve

I was hired by this company just after I completed my N6 certificate I knew nothing about working and the working environment but with the training I got and the opportunities they offer I was just able to adjust o everything they offer so many opportunities if you are willing to grab then you won -

Pros: great opportunity for promotion
Cons: punuality and woking under pressure

Excellent learning curve

i work in an open space where all the site administrators for the group are seating.we are a group we always working as group . while working we laugh .i learnt that working as a team builds the company brings out a negative impact to the company and group.the most challenges are getting the supplies to deliver on time and urgency

Good learning experience

A typical day at work is when receiving a wire material order /factory material order /building material order/ BOQ or site request. Source quotes find the cheapest prices and lead times. Placing orders with suppliers and ensuring delivery on time to go to our sites. Update a purchase and saving spreadsheet on a daily basis

Pros: Great team spirit
Cons: Everything is urgent.
