A typical workday starts with having a morning meeting with my 3 Supervisors, discussing the progress of the work on the shop floor and the requirements for the day ahead. Twice weekly I have production meetings with senior managment and project engineers to discuss their jobs. I schedule the trips for the the drivers deliveries and also the service teams for their service jobs. I have an excellent relationship with everybody at the workplace including external clients. I've learnt to keep clients happy by getting jobs delivered on time which in turn creates a good culture in the workplace. I enjoy sitting in meetings and giving positive feedback to management about job completion and they can focus on th finances. The most challenging aspects is when clients are promissed deliveries in unreasonable times and I have to wave a magic wand to get the jobs completed on time.

Pros: I have job satisfaction when all goes well.
Cons: Long hours, extra effort that goes unnoticed.

SSH - General Manger - good learning curve

ssh is a large International Consulting Company - Multi-disciplinary.I was exposed to Design processes and and large corporate culture with very high quality controls in place. I learnt to manage projects using SSH software - Deltek and managed teams of Engineers and Architects - as many as 200 at one stage. I did regular Project finance reports and worked with senior ,manage,ment on BIDs - i manage all commercial aspects of projects in the South African office Including all sub-contracting and payments to suppliers..

Pros: A very wide range of high profile mega projects mainly in the middle East - placed as the General Manager for Sourth Africa.
Cons: Difficulty collections from clients in tghe Middle East resulted in late salary payments and payments to sub-consultants.

Good comunications

Working as a cleaner ,making coffee and tea for clients , moping the floor ,organising lunch for managers , preparing the boardroom during meetings ,relieving the switch board lunch time ,we have a good relationship ,I have learnt to relieve at switchboard and now I can do the filing, typing ,scanning and sending emails and answering the calls and I enjoy when I am talking with clients when I am directing them to the right people and I have enjoy when they gave me a chance to do the sales consultant training but it was challenging at the same time

Pros: They willing to give us a chance for promotion
Cons: Normal hours
