I experienced no problems with this company

Standard bank group FBS is great to work for. Flexible work hours and looking to improve continuously. Great teams in the department. You need to self manage and find your own way.

Very undisciplined company that need help in creating more structure and a common culture

The organization is very undisciplined due to weak a dictator style leadership. Most employees that manage projects have very little business understanding and taking responsibility is absent. Processes are very cumbersome and staff resist change. Team work is found in the back office but front office is very resistant to have team work between different business lines. The company needed extensive help in firming up processes and contracts with suppliers. The challenge of getting operations and back more efficient was what I enjoyed most about my job. I least enjoyed being the person that had to pull people into action to take responsibility and to change, it made me very unpopular but the satisfaction of of seeing improvement was worth being unpopular

Pros: Improvement was noticed and appreciated by holding company in the Netherland
Cons: Long working hours

Always up for a challenge. I deliver.

Creating or updating project plans. Facilitating meetings and ensuring project is being delivered according to specifications. I listen and learn a lot from colleagues and mentor those that require it. I enjoy all the management aspects of project management eg. time, cost, quality, communications etc to achieve positive results for the team. Admin is a challenge but i ensure i get it out of the way first thing in the morning before it gets hectic. Keeping people motivated and on track is challenging but my experience offers understanding, lenience but firmness.

Pros: Always a challenge to learn from others and the company and to deliver according to spec.
Cons: I have been able to manage the uphills and enjoy the challenges, even long hours.

Excellent Learning Curve for the Medical Devices/ Dental Industry

I manage all the aspects of the company. I manage the PR, Sales, Marketing and Medical Advise on the company. My relationship with my customers who are Maxillo-Facial Surgeons and Periodontists is excellent. I have an excellent relationship with my boss and colleagues. I have learnt about the dental industry. I enjoy interacting with the customers and my colleagues.

Pros: Great opportunity for being exposed to the dental industry.
Cons: Salary does not match my experience or qualifications.
