Excellent learning more (communicate with people, plumbing, electrical)

Am joanfred khosa, I work at ikotwe construction as safety officer we were working from Monday to saturday,my job is to take care to protect their own health and safety, report promptly situation immediate to my supervisor.my relationship between me and workers was very good.i learn more thinks like to respect other people at work.everyday Monday in the morning before we go to work I make a tools box talk so that when you go to work, work safely.the challenge that I get from my job it's to obey the complain from the workers like we don't have proper ppe(personal protective equipment).me as a safety officer I must make sure everyone at work,I must supply him or her by giving them everything they want

Pros: Great opportunity for promote
Cons: Long working hours

Lost of expierance in different fields.

Start the day with induction and then safety file audits,walk around on site, do general SHE reports and manage SHE SYSTEMS. I have great relationship with all my employees and co workers. I have learned that safety is mind set that you need to change in employees . To be in-control is very important and i enjoy that. This is also the most challenging aspect of OHS. You need to have strong management support.

Pros: Change to work and maybe become permanent.
Cons: Working 40 hours week
