Bad company to work for. Management are unprofessional and poor management all employees are unhappy. Expecting the unexpected from youcompany to work for

Macro manage
Not good company to work for. Poor increase per year no bonus. Macro manage 5 star would not recommend any one to work there. Bad managers. They don't care about staff

Growth
I have learnt alot. I have managed staff, which most of them were ladies and older than me. I was required to provide assistance and coach where I felt was necessary. This allowed me to grow as a person as well as a leader. I had to take responsibilty for errors and mistakes made by my department which taught me about accountability. I work 50 hours overtime on average monthly to ensure deadlines are met and the job gets done. I am honoured to have served as manager in Hume International's finance department, but I am ready to seek new opportunities.
Pros: You are required to design procedures where you find weaknesess and the executives allow you to run with it, as long as it works.
Cons: Company policies and rules are not always implemented consistantly across the board.

Strong personality hard worker

Poor culture
It's a very stressful work. You need to be on your toes at all times. Only your flaws are being seen and none of your efforts. You are being treated like a child and you are merely a number to the company you are not seen as an asset.

Increased knowledge
Very different from being on the Freight Forwarding, Clearing and Logistics side of things. I have broadened my knowledge of customer service, fmcg and cold store operations.

Loistics
I would like to work in an environment that allows me to grow in the field and on a personal capacity. I have an excellent relationship with my co-workers and have learnt a lot of skill through them.

Excellent learning curve
Hume International is a very fast paced working environment A typical work day would include reading and responding to emails from suppliers Following up on shipments, making sure orders are shipped on time My Computer skills improved vastly, especially working with Excel a lot The staff at Hume international are very friendly, and helpful which can ease a stressful day a lot. What I enjoy most about working at Hume International is that ,I feel like I have purpose and what I do matters
