Good learning experience

I enjoy doing my office work, problem solving and team work. I have learnt a lot including system management, time management and people management also. My relationship with my co-workers is very good and we can rely on one another. We believe working together we become more productive. The challenging part about my job is when i have to work outside which is outside my work duties.

Pros: Great opportunity for growth
Cons: Long working hours

Limited learning curve as some laws are not applied on ngo.

Limited knowledge of main laws as many of them are not applying to NGOs, though challenging. A great place for one to further their studies, and to settle not far from home.

Pros: Acquiring more knowledge on Labour legislation.
Cons: Working day and night

Excellent working environment.

I work as a manager where I am responsible for administration, personnel, operations, finances and logistics of the institution. We work very closely with the department of social development, department of labour, department of home affairs, department of correctional services, department of education, and department of health. I am responsible for lialising with government and other stakeholders involved with the institution. I am also serving as an executive committee on the institution's board.

Pros: Plan the work.
Cons: working long hours every day.
