Great experience to gain business insight

Analyzing financial results for improved decision making and profitability Daily cash flow management and cash budgeting Procurement management including cost assessment and identifying cost saving areas and implementing initiatives Building relationships with suppliers and sourcing raw materials at the most competitive price by working closely with production team and suppliers Identifying weakness and implementing controls Building relationships with customers and ensuring accounts are paid timeously Overseeing full financial function on daily basis Preparation of weekly management results including sales, orders, production stats and overtime Preparation of monthly management accounts with variance analysis to budget

Pros: Great learning opertuninty to understand business operations
Cons: company structure is flat, little room for growth

I am the willing led by the knowing capable of doing anything with nothing

The company that I have joined Hi Alloy Castings has given me the chance to work in their maintenance department . but I'm looking for a place where I can become a better millwright and improve myself . I have always worked in the manufacturing industry . But I feel as if I need more from my present work place its not challenging my capabilities . I feel like I'm not winning and I'm a winner . I can think out of the box , I work very well with people . I have a good relationship with every college I work with but I need a place with a future for me .

Pros: its a small foundry easily manageable

Excellent Experience and Learning curve

My peak of the day is always when people trust you. Once you have earned your respect and trust from your fellow workers, teamwork reaches a different level and heights. Deadline will always be an existence, how we deal with it and work towards goals is what builds character, and your team should always believe this as well.

Okay

GoCSIR (The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research) and UJ Metal Casting station: I was part of a major project of improving wear resistance on High Chromium cast iron at Hi Alloy Castings foundry in 2016. Hi alloy Castings (pty) ltd: Recognised for Initiative and rapid progress. Promoted from trainee metallurgist to Plant Metallurgist, Lab assistant and Health and safety officer. od company with bad working conditions.

Pros: Lots of promotions with no salary increase
Cons: bad working conditions
