Hesto Harnesses Reviews

Histroy of employment

i work 9 hours a day, 5 days a week, saturday and sunday are over time. i have a great relationship with my co-workers and im always showing them something new, i have learnt a lot working for a big company like hesto, we are wiring harness manufacture. i enjoy the times we spend working with each other, the joke and laughs. my job as a receiving inspector gets really tough when there is a defect part on the process, we have to assure 110% quality of all our part thats checked, buts its nothing me and my team can't handle. thank you

Pros: well ever since hesto opened up in stanger they have been creating jobs and helps you study through the company
Cons: over time being a major issue

Well established company with lots of learning skills and progress of employees.

Hesto harnesses has lots of challenges which gives me learning skills and growth. A typical day starts with my morning meeting with our department and confirming work status, our struggles and counter measures. Team work is one of my activity, communication with other members and other suppoetinf departments are all in lune with my jib title. Corresponding with suppliers and customers. I enjoy my job as there are alway new challenges to target. Braining storming problems and teaming up to resolve problem occurred in production. Been part of New projects, teaming with people from different department and working together to set up and reach start of production.

Pros: excellent learning skills. self growth. study assistance given to grow employee.
Cons: limited facilities. salary not good

Challenging

I deal with machine maintenance, programming and plant maintance scheduling .I report to the project manager and senior production manager. My main responsibilities support production by attending to break downs and minimise high occurrence scrap coused by machines or a process without any controls in place.During project startup i communicate with the our design engineers based in Japan to prepare for changes in our system, this involves upgrading of plant machine amending of FMEA, control plan and preparing budget estimated project development cost.the most challenging part of the job is being tasked to solve lags in the system e.g reducing mould change time in the moulding plant the project is projected to take 1 year and involves high cost this involves regular presentations to exec to justify cost of the project and to give projected benefits of cunducting such a project. I enjoy being part of the team of internal auditors of the IATF 16949 ,auditing has given me exposure to all department.

Pros: Great opportunity on being promoted to Quality engineer
Cons: Long working hours

Technical support

At work in the morning I set time and date on the machines,do my checks, fill the check sheet of my machines,on a good day jus repair broken parts uless I'm called on a breakdown.Me and the other technicians have good understanding and enjoy challenging breakdowns were we all start competing with ideas trying to solve the breakdown.i learnt hand skills, troubleshooting, solve and root cause.when a breakdown is complete I enjoy the complements and appreciation I get from the operator.the challenging part is when new projects start,we have to program the testboard with new programs, short deadlines and alot of pressure.

Pros: Great learning experience gained
Cons: We work on most weekends

Line balancing, reducing downtimes

To work in my organization is very challenging and I learned a lot so far so good. Most challenges we face is to balance the lines since we using operators to build our Harnesses on the boards and the boards are moving while projects are changing left and right, where operators will also complain about their work content daily and you have to make sure that their work content is balanced in the right way. Challenges where you have to come up with better ways of doing the job to increase operators efficiency and minimize down times. Hesto Harnesses is a nice company to learn.

Pros: Great opportunity for promotion
Cons: Information gained

Hesto is a career path

I have been motivated by working with Hesto from the first year of work. It offered me an opportunity to grow myself in terms of skills. It is a family orientated company. Good mentoring and guidance given. The only gap is that one may find an engineer reporting to a marketing manager which to me does not make sense

Pros: Great opportunity for growth
Cons: Average working hour
